Eric Wall
The Rt Rev Eric St Quintin Wall (19 April 1915 – 11 April 2011〔http://www.churchtimes.co.uk/content.asp?id=111376〕) was the second Bishop of Huntingdon from 1972〔The Times, Thursday, 23 Mar 1972; pg. 19; Issue 58434; col E ''D-Day chaplains are made bishops suffragan''〕 to 1980 and from then on an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Gloucester. The son of a clergyman,〔''The Rev. Sydney Herbert Wall'' Who's Who 2008: London, A & C Black, 2008 ISBN 978-0-7136-8555-8〕 he was born on 19 April 1915 and educated at Clifton College and Brasenose College, Oxford. Ordained in 1939 he began his ecclesiastical career with a curacy in Boston, Lincolnshire 〔Crockford's Clerical Directory2008/2009 Lambeth, Church House Publishing ISBN 978-0-7151-1030-0〕 after which he was a World War II chaplain in the RAFVR.
